Simplified Summer Lunch is nationwide! Now with the red
tape cut, it's more cost-effective than ever for
non-profits to serve low-income kids healthy food in
summer. And, with California's Community Child Nutrition
pilot, it's easy to go year round and provide
after-school snacks, too. For more information on the
changes to summer, see:

California Association of Food Banks (CAFB) launched this website in 2007 for community based organizations who want to help needy children in their communities get the nutrition they deserve, 365 days a year.
More and more, food banks and other community organizations are partnering with their local schools to help bridge the gaps in summer feeding and after school snack programs.
This website offers information, resources and profiles from communities across California who have joined together to ensure every California child is fed everyday.
Schools are also in the foreferont of feeding kids in need through The National School Breakfast and Lunch Program and The Seamless Summer Food Service Program. For more on schools and nutrition in California visit the California Department of Education Services Website. ClickHere.
